The Palm Springs tram is not quite as sharp of an incline as the one in Juneau but goes to a MUCH higher elevation (Juneau tram=1800 ft. Palm Springs tram=8500 ft.) One really cool thing about the tram car is that it has a round shape and it rotates as you ascend/descend.How do I get from the parking lot to the tram?
They have a parking lot shuttle that picks you up at your car and will take you to the tram station. Likewise, the parking lot shuttle will drive you from the tram station back to your car You have dining (cafeteria style and restaurant dining style), you have hiking (easy to hard), and best of all you have a panoramic view of the Coachella Valley. What time does the first tram start?
First Tram is at 10am. We got there just after 10, and we got tickets for the 11:10am Tram. By the time we left at about 1pm, the parking lot we were in was full and people were being bused in from the penalty parking lots. I dread to think what the wait was to get onto a Tram!
