PCDL has returned to contactless pickup of library materials as of Monday, November 30. This is due to the increasing spread of COVID-19 within Portage County and bordering counties. Patrons will be able to schedule times to pick up their holds at all of our branches. Here are the procedures for using contactless pickup:

Portage County Law Library Website. The Portage County Law Library was incorporated in 1896. The Law Library is a self serve library. Members of the public may use the library materials, on-site only. Library staff cannot provide legal advice, explain court procedures or assist in completing forms. There are no attorneys on staff at the library.

The library was kept in operation during those years through personal contributions of time and money! In 1961 the Portage Public Library became a member of the Cambria County Library Plan, thereby qualifying for both state and county aid. A charter for the library was obtained, and the Portage Library Association was incorporated.
